Wanted: Halloween Costumes

by Kristen Hogan | Sep 06, 2017

The YMCA of the Capital Area will host its annual Costumes for Kids drive beginning October 1  through October 24. Costumes for Kids is a local costume donation drive that gives free Halloween costumes to children in need across America. In partnership with this program, the YMCA of the Capital Area will be accepting new or gently used costumes to be given to deserving children in the Baton Rouge community. Costume donations will be accepted at any of the Y’s nine locations until October 24. Help us put the treat back into trick or treating by donating a costume.

The YMCA of the Capital Area has been serving the city of Baton Rouge since 1917. Since its opening, the Y and its members have helped thousands of people feel like part of a community. Thanks to the hard work of its volunteers, the Y is able to provide people with the necessities they need to learn, grow and thrive.

If you would like to request a costume for a child in need please contact Kristen Hogan at
